Title – Hidden diamond
Deep in the core of our essence
Lies a yolk, pure and unsullied
Devoted to its stand;
It, like a mother brings forth life
And death in block blows
Beyond it’s false pretense,
Is a gruesome genuineness
Beyond it’s cloak of mischief
A hurting heart is hidden
Begs proudly to be beheld
Clamours in silence to be heard
If only it were transparent;
And has not an opaque barricade
That hides it from quick eyes
If only it would shed off the dead scales
Accumulated from many a bitter broth from life’s cruel cup
You’ll see it shines a glitters fine
And you’ll know;
That deep in the core of our essence
Lies a hidden diamond
Devoted to it’s stand
Be it ugly, good or bad
